Gweledigaeth Ysgol Rhos Helyg
Yn sgil cyflwyno Cwricwlwm Newydd i Gymru, fe adolygwyd gweledigaeth Ysgol Rhos Helyg gydag anogaeth i bob aelod o gymuned yr ysgol gyfrannu i’r broses. Fe adolygwyd y weledigaeth er mwyn sicrhau bod ein holl ddysgwyr yn cyflawni pedwar diben craidd y Cwricwlwm er mwyn datblygu’r nodweddion canlynol:
dysgwyr uchelgeisiol, galluog sy'n barod i ddysgu gydol eu bywydau
gyfranwyr mentrus, creadigol sy’n barod i chwarae rhan lawn mewn bywyd a gwaith
ddinasyddion egwyddorol, gwybodus yng Nghymru a’r byd
unigolion iach, hyderus sy'n barod i fyw bywyd cyflawn fel aelodau gwerthfawr o gymdeithas.
Dyma sut rydym yn gwireddu’r pedwar diben:
· Rhoi'r disgyblion yn gyntaf.
· Bod yn groesawgar a chyfeillgar er mwyn i ddysgwyr deimlo'n ddiogel a hapus.
· Cynnig profiadau amrywiol a chyffrous i greu brwdfrydedd am ddysgu sgiliau newydd.
· Meithrin sgiliau hanfodol, creadigol ac annibynnol mewn amgylchedd cynhwysol.
· Gosod disgwyliadau uchel er mwyn ysbrydoli dysgwyr i gyrraedd eu potensial.
· Creu perthnasau cryf wedi'i selio ar barch gyda phob aelod o'n cymuned.
Hoffai'r ysgol ddiolch i bob un a gynorthwyodd gyda’r broses o adolygu’r weledigaeth. Am fwy o wybodaeth am y pedwar diben, cliciwch isod er mwyn darganfod adroddiad gan yr Athro Graham Donaldson sy'n sail i'r Cwricwlwm newydd i Gymru.
Ysgol Rhos Helyg's Vision
In light of the New Curriculum for Wales, Ysgol Rhos Helyg reviewed its vision with every member of the school’s community encouraged to contribute to the process. The vision was reviewed to ensure that every pupil fulfils the Curriculum’s four core purposes in order to become:
ambitious, capable learners, ready to learn throughout their lives
enterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and work
ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world
healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society
This is how we realise the four purposes:
· Putting the pupils first.
· Being welcoming and friendly so that pupils feel safe and happy.
· Offering varied and exciting experiences which create enthusiasm about learning new skills.
· Nurturing fundamental skills, creativity and independence in an inclusive environment.
· Setting high expectations so that learners are inspired to reach their full potential.
· Forming strong partnerships based on respect with every member of our community.
The school would like to thank everyone who assisted in the process of reviewing its vision. For further information regarding the four purposes, click below to discover a report by Professor Graham Donaldson which is the foundation of the New Curriculum for Wales.
